Friday Night:::Open House

This past Friday night we had Open House... there were three (or more) languages being spoken: English, Chinese, Korean, etc. It was neat! It was pretty relaxed, just showing off the room and kind of talking about what we are learning, etc. I had 4 out of 9 moms come. Two spoke English, two spoke enough Chinese. So I spoke English ;-) and my co-teacher showed the Korean moms that spoke Chinese around. I was very thankful for her and her willingness to step up and show off the classroom.

This past week has been filled with meetings. Monday had volleyball practice, Tuesday all staff meeting, Wednesday all ex-pat staff meeting, Thursday preparing classroom, Friday preparing classroom & Open House. Full week. So yesterday I slept in a little and then went to a friend's apartment to hang out, watch a movie and lesson plan. Teachers' weekends are so exciting sometimes ;-)

September started off cool and breezy, and now has gone all hot and humid on us. But, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and clear. Night time is beautiful. We were able to see stars last night in the dark blue sky & whispy white clouds. Aw, amazing. Creation singing His praises! We know whether it is a clear day or not by how many islands we can see out in the sea. If it's a decent day we can see two or three, but if it's Super clear we can see half a dozen or more! Love it!

Our Father is so faithful and loving, even when I get too caught up in doing instead of being. He has brought so many people around me to be an encouragement and fellow traveler on this journey. Even in the classroom there have been wonderful moments where I can't help but thank Him for being there at that specific time.
